In the wake of political rallies and campaigns, a good number of artists receive invitations to perform at political events.
The invitations must have overwhelmed rapper AKA as he took to bare his mind on what he thinks about these political parties.
A lot of these south African artists have aired their views about performing for parties especially the ones they do not necessarily support, but rapper AKA seemed to outshine thr others with the manner in which he tackled the issue.
Rapper AKA took to his twitter last Wednesday evening and shared his political view with his followers in lengthy tweet…..
“The ANC is faaaaar from perfect, but I firmly believe it’s the only political party with the credentials and policies to lead our country”.
In the rappers tweet, he also revealed that, he has been approached to perform for the DA on several occasions, but always turned them down, and for the fighters (EFF), he sated in his words ” I will never again perform for them, no matter how attractive the money is”….He added again…”I have even preformed at two EFF parties and i have turned down every request of the DA to perform at their events”.
Rapper AKA, who has performed at several ANC occasions, pledged his support for the party he believes holds a bright future in the country…”I will continue to support the ANC because my support for the party is rooted in my ability to build myself a great life during it’s governance of my country”.
He continued that, being a father he also believes that the party represents the best future for his daughter, though he acknowledged the fact that the party isn’t perfect.
However, the rapper concluded ” I encourage all my fans to feel free and support whoever they want, because it isn’t a football match between Kaiser chiefs and Olando pirates” he uttered with laughter.
