Popularly known music festival actress Nancy Naliaka Serengo passed away on Monday 6TH June while undergoing a Caesarean Section in Eldoret Hospital.
Its reported that the actress had driven herself to hospital over the weekend on Saturday as she was due to deliver her first born child and the doctors attending to her recommended that she should undergo a C-section.
Nancy’s baby was successfully delivered alive but later on she developed bleeding complications that later took her life.
However the family is not fully contented with the doctors’ explanations and terms it as negligence caused the death of Nancy.
A memeber of the family said..
“We are not satisfied by the explanations of the doctor. So, we plan to do an autopsy in Eldoret to find out exactly what happened”.
He pathetically continued saying…
“A woman should never die while bringing forth life”, and here is a girl who is dying in hospital under the care of medical practitioners. It is a sad story and we the family think it has something to do with negligence.”
Nancy is well known in the Schools and Colleges Drama festival as a top act since her school days at Arap Moi Girls’ Shibuye School in Kakamega County.
She was part of the pioneers of the great drama movement at the United States International University (USIU).
She won many national awards for her acting and music prowess – including one in 2010 when she was declared the Best Actress overall in her portrayal of Sanaipei in Cleophas Malalah’s play ‘The Blood Vendetta in Kisumu’.
She has really paid her dues in the entertainment world and may God keep her safe.
Team yooyooafrica.com sympathize with the family. May her soul rest in perfect peace and in the bosom of the Creator.
