The hip-life musician Kwaw Kese, complains bitterly of his ‘Yakubu’ song not been nominated in the category of hip life- hip hop song of the year in this year’s VGMA. The musician, however, stated that, “If there’s any hip-life hip hop song that deserves an award, then it should be ‘Yakubu’.
According to him, his song made lot of impact in 2015 and it was popular in Ghana and beyond. ” I should have been in that category and should have won that hip-life hip hop song of the year award, rather than sarkodie’s ‘Hand to mouth’.
The musician who recently got married. However, congratulated all those who won the awards and to those who deserve not but was nominated.
He added “I am not so disappointed because, sometimes you just have to seat down and watch”.
