The award winning Uk based designer Mary Martin is set to visit Ghana to honor this year’s edition of the Mercedes Benz African Fashion Festival (MBAFF). The award winning designer who has won many accolades to her credit since 2013, has declared to honor this year’s festival which will be held at the world trade center, Accra on the 27th may 2016.
In an interview with yooyooafrica.com reporter Mickey Ranklin Nyarko, she stressed on how beautiful the people of Ghana are “I look forward to return to the mother land Ghana, the land I call my own the people are friendly. I appreciate their hospitality and cannot wait to bring my natural talent there”. The renowned creative and unique designer according to her felt so terrific she is visiting Ghana again. Her creative style of designs did not only catch the eyes of celebrities around the globe but also her majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the Queen of England to design her birthday dress. She stated “I was much privileged and excited that our Majesty the Queen recognised my works. It was a birthday dress, when I got to the palace she was not in” she murmured with laughter.
Mary’s creative designs have also featured on shows such as Britain and Ireland Next Top Model, her numerous editorials include Daily Mirror, the Telegraph, Elle, Switch and Meads Magazine, French Magazine “SLAVE” which has excel across the boarders of Europe, America and Africa. The beautiful and energetic sexy looking creative designer has won three awards to her credit. In 2014, she won two awards, the best female designer at the international achievers awards and honorary BAFTA inspirational awards.
Mary was again awarded as the best designer in the Mercede Benz African fashion festival (2015).
